Full Journal pdf2009-04-19 Senate Journal Page 1075 SB 183 Message dated April 18 was read stating the House passed and returned for consideration SENATE BILL NO. 183 "An Act authorizing the Department of Environmental Conservation to award grants for the control of air emissions or the development and administration of air quality control programs; and providing for an effective date" with the following amendment: 2009-04-19 Senate Journal Page 1076 HOUSE CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 183(FIN) "An Act amending the qualifications of ocean rangers who monitor marine discharge and pollution requirements aboard large commercial passenger vessels; authorizing the Department of Environmental Conservation to award grants for the control of air emissions or the development and administration of air quality control programs; and providing for an effective date." (Title change HCR 17) Senator Ellis moved that the Senate concur in the House amendment. The question being: "Shall the Senate concur in the House amendment?" The roll was taken with the following result: HCS SB 183(FIN) Shall the Senate Concur in the House Amendment to SB 183? Effective Date YEAS: 19 NAYS: 0 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 0 VACANT: 1 Yeas: Bunde, Davis, Dyson, Ellis, French, Hoffman, Huggins, Kookesh, McGuire, Menard, Meyer, Olson, Paskvan, Stedman, Stevens, Therriault, Thomas, Wagoner, Wielechowski and so, the Senate concurred in the House amendment, thus adopting HOUSE CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 183(FIN) "An Act amending the qualifications of ocean rangers who monitor marine discharge and pollution requirements aboard large commercial passenger vessels; authorizing the Department of Environmental Conservation to award grants for the control of air emissions or the development and administration of air quality control programs; and providing for an effective date." Senator Ellis moved and asked unanimous consent that the vote on concurrence be considered the vote on the effective date clause. Without objection, it was so ordered.
